The Shofar is sounded every weekday morning, except on
the last day of Elul - Erev Rosh Hashana.
Psalm 27 is added to the daily morning and afternoon
prayers until Hoshaana Rabba. (Psalm 27 is provided for you

From the second day of Rosh Chodesh Elul until
Yom Kippur we are to say three chapters of Tehillim every day.
Then, on Yom Kippur, thirty six (chapters): Nine before Kol
Nidrei, nine before sleeping, nine after Musaf, and nine
after Ne'ila."
It is customary to give additional Tzedaka (charity) each weekday.
Beginning Saturday night before Rosh Hashana, and
on the following weekday mornings into Erev Rosh Hashana,
Selichot (special penitential prayers) are recited.

attitudes of the previous year, and resolve to correct our
